Fleming is a licensed insurance agent with over 40 years of experience in Life, Health, Estate Preservation and Retirement Insurance. For much of his career, he has been offering insurance in Valdosta, GA. He is a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Round Table and Court of the Table and has served on several insurance boards. In September of 2018, Fleming acquired the ownership of the Remerton Agency DBA Star Insurance.

Fleming graduated from Brunswick High School, Brunswick, GA. and attended Brunswick College. He is recognized as a Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®) and is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA). Fleming has also been a past President of Life Underwriters of Valdosta and served on other chairs for the association.

Fleming has served as President of the Valdosta Bulldog Club and on the board of several non-profit organizations in the Valdosta area. He is married to the former Kaye Chastain of Moultrie, GA and they have four sons: John Fleming, William, Wesley, and Wilson and four grandchildren.  

Deena Charron

Deena joined the team at Star Insurance Agency in January of 2006. She is a licensed agent as well the office manager, human resources coordinator and handles all the agency’s accounting. Deena is a lifelong resident of South Georgia and began her insurance career in 1996. She is married to Joseph, and they have 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren. In her spare time, she is an avid online gamer, who loves the beach, camping and spending time with her family and friends.

John Stephenson

John joined the Star Insurance team in January 2019. Prior to coming to Star Insurance, he was self-employed as an insurance agent since 1987. John specializes in Medicare supplements and long-term care. Other products are cancer, heart attack, stroke, and dental insurance. A lifelong resident of Valdosta, John is married to Lisa Tatum Stephenson, and they have 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. He and Lisa attend Central Avenue Church of Christ where he serves as a deacon. In his spare time, John enjoys golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Janet joined the Star Insurance team in March 2018. Prior to joining Star Insurance, she had two years’ experience at another local insurance agency. She started with us as our receptionist and has been promoted to our Personal Lines CSR. She will be taking care of homeowners, auto and umbrella policies. She has her license in Life, Health & Sickness, and her Sub-agent’s license in Property & Casualty. Janet is married to Chris Dampier, and they have a daughter and a son. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, shopping, hunting, watching football, baseball and spending time with family and friends.

Francina joined the Star Insurance team in January 2022.  Prior to insurance, she acquired many years of experience in sales/marketing and customer service.  Also, had the honor of being in the Leadership Lowndes Class of 2000.  Starting as our receptionist, she has since been promoted to working in the Life & Health and Annuity side of the insurance business.  Francina also recently acquired her Property & Casualty agent license.  Francina is married to Robby Mullis and has 2 sons and 1 grandson.  In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors and time with family and friends.

Kimberly “KC” Douthit

KC joined the Star Insurance team in August 2022. When someone calls our office, KC is the first to answer with a cheerful hello. She is a graduate of Valdosta High School and has 10 years of clerical experience. She is currently working towards getting her Property & Casualty license. She is married to Brad, and they have two beautiful children and a hound dog. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, the beach and exercising.
