The Hollis Agency, which would one day become Star Insurance Inc., was started in 1930 by D.K. Hollis Sr. in Hahira, Georgia.1964

In 1964, the Hollis Agency merged with four other local Hahira, Georgia insurance agencies to become Star Insurance Agency, Inc.1983
1983
In 1983, Star Insurance Agency, Inc. was acquired by Charles B. Griffin.1986
1986
In 1986, an insurance agency in Nashville, Georgia owned by W. F. Anderson merged with Star Insurance Agency, Inc. At this time, a new office opened in Valdosta, Georgia. David Sumner & W.F (Burt) Anderson became 1/3 owners of Star Insurance Agency, Inc.1992
1992
In 1992, the J. Fleming Hunt Agency merged into Star Insurance Agency Inc. J. Fleming Hunt became one of the four owners of Star Insurance Agency, Inc. The Hahira insurance office was closed.1999
1999
In 1999, Star Insurance was sold to Citizens Community Bank and they formed Remerton Agency Inc. dba Star Insurance.2018

Remerton Agency Inc. dba Star Insurance was sold to J. Fleming Hunt in September 2018.2021
